課程概述
《英漢互譯方法與技巧》的特點是：注重分析、強調實踐；英譯漢和漢譯英並重；語言內涵和文化內涵並重。
課程採用的翻譯實例全部來源於主講教師多年來翻譯的文學作品、學術著作、以及社科、法律、科技、醫藥、政府文件等材料，這些實例經過全面細緻的分析，向學習者展現了翻譯的過程和翻譯技巧的綜合、靈活運用。這樣的翻譯實戰經驗分享和細緻入微的分析可以有效幫助學習者掌握英漢互譯方法與技巧。
課程在注重語言的理解和表達的同時，強調翻譯中的文化意識以及對源語文化和譯入語文化的理解在翻譯中的重要作用。
課程設計的原則是：1. 基礎。本科生、研究生和對翻譯感興趣的人士均可學習。2.
實用。結合第一手翻譯經驗，通過對各類翻譯實例的講解、練習和討論，幫助學習者掌握翻譯的思路和方法，對學習者將來從事翻譯實踐具有實用價值。 3.
系統。介紹翻譯的過程，按照字詞、句子、段落、篇章由簡到繁、由易到難的順序進行講解和練習
